PON · Standard Blend Semi-Hydroponic Substrate · Equal Parts
A balanced, all-purpose pon mix blended in equal measure from three mineral components — zeolite, pumice, and basalt. The classic 1:1:1 formula favored across the semi-hydro community for its versatility, offering reliable structure, steady moisture, and clean drainage for a wide range of houseplants and aroids. This is the substrate we use for our own Anthurium collection.
Pre-rinsed, screened, and mixed by hand in small batches. Ready to use straight from the bag — simply fill, plant, and water.
Zeolite — buffers pH and holds nutrients, releasing them as your plant needs them
Pumice — lightweight aeration and water retention; the backbone of the blend
Lave Rock — drainage and trace minerals; keeps the mix from compacting
Ideal for aroids and a sound starting point for those new to semi-hydroponic growing.
